EMT has vast experience in providing closure of underground storage tanks (USTs) containing a wide variety of petroleum and other chemical substances. EMT can provide complete “turnkey” U ST services to include removal, sampling, and closure activities.
Site safety plays an extemely important role in EMT projects. All EMT staff and project managers are Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) trained to perform work on hazardous waste sites and to insure site safety.
EMT staff has implemented various conventional and alter- native technologies on leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites such as multi-phase and soil vapor extraction,enhanced bioremediation, slurry wall installation, intermittent pump and treat/soil flushing, and natural attenuation. EMT also has significant experience in closing sites under site specific criteria and Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) programs. |
